Wolves are one of the earliest and most common hostile animals you’ll face in Roblox 99 Nights in the Forest. They are scattered around the forest, and you will find more of them at night. There are two types of wolves in the game. First is the normal one, and the second more powerful Alpha Wolves. Normal wolves behave as hostile predators that wander until they detect the player or are provoked, then chase continuously until the player escapes their detection radius or is killed.

🐺 Wolves Drops & Their Importance

You will be regularly dealing with wolves in the Roblox 99 Nights in the Forest game. At this point, having a class like Alien or the Sheriff will help. As both have weapons, any class with a weapon can pull out of the fight soon. The best thing about Alien Class is that it has a rechargeable ray gun, which does not really need ammo. While others are limited to ammo usage.

Fighting wolves will give you useful resources, which are essential for survival and progression. They are:

  1. Morsel: One wolf can drop two to three morsels. Important for food and healing.
  2. Steak: Along with a morsel, the wolf can also drop Steak, which restores a larger chunk of health.
  3. Wolf Pelt: A regular wolf pelt is required to trade with the Pelt Trade to unlock Level 2 upgrades.
  4. Red Key: Guardian wolf drops the red key, which is useful to unlock the boss area or the kids’ prison.

After bunny foot, try getting a wolf pelt to get better upgrades from the Pelt Trader. Bunny Foot can give you a Good Sack, while you can trade the pelt for a Good Axe. Each of these items increases the capacity of items you can carry or mine.

πŸ‘Š How to fight with Wolves?

Do not engage directly; try to find an obstacle. Like a tree where you can climb and hide, a tower, rocks, wooden trunk hideouts, etc. Wolves will chase you and keep attacking; it is not possible to keep running. At some point, you will get slow, putting you in more danger.

Always run in a circular direction while attacking the wolf. This is the best way to avoid damage and reduce their speed. Keep a ranged weapon in your loadout. Like a revolver, rifle, or a ray gun (Alien-Class Exclusive). Ranged weapons are the best to deal with wolves, with 0 damage.

At the start of the game, focus more on opening chests. Enemies are less aggressive at the start, and bosses will not attack you. Chest will give you a ton of upgrades, allowing you to deal with wolves later on.

Wolves and later Alpha Wolves can directly spawn next to you if you stay at one spot for a long time during the night.

Try placing some bear traps later in the game. Or you can put defensive blocks to stop them from entering the camps. You can also tame wolves so that they become your ally and attack cultists for you.

πŸͺˆ How To Tame Wolves?

You will need an Old Taming Flute to tame Wolves. This process can fail if you attack the wolves. Only those who are not damaged can be tamed. Grab your Old Tamign Flute and then approach calmly to trigger the mini game.

You will need 4 steaks, 4 mackerel fish, or 4 salmon fish to feed the wolf after you are done with taming. So make sure you carry enough of them. The tamed wolf will ask for food, and you have to feed it the correct food multiple times. It can be morseal or steak. Once tamed, the wolf will start following you, and it will attack your enemies also.

Tamed wolves are highly useful in mid-game scenarios. They are best to engage aginast swarms and mobs.
