Mammoths are massive and dangerous hostile animals in the Roblox 99 Nights in the Forest game. But killing them is rewarding as you get a lot of food. Like the Rib whih can restore a high amount of health instantly. They are found deep in the frozen regions of the snow biome. Mammoths mostly appear late-game; you don’t have to worry about them at the start. With a proper strategy, you can take down this mini-boss and earn great rewards.
How to Kill a Mammoth?
Mammoths are like heavily armored elephants. Thankfully, they are not fast; the only thing is their huge health pool. It will be foolish to ignore its wide range and brutal charge attacks. When not alerted, you can sneak around the Mammoth slowly. However, they have a very large detection range. You can either pick a fight or run away until it disappears and returns to its spawn point. They are mostly found in the following locations.
- High-level Snow Biome zones
- Late-game frozen regions
- Certain elite wildlife areas
If you are alone, then forget to engage in melee combat. You cannot stand a chance against this massive beast. Below are some weapons that are best against dealing with a Mammoth. Make sure you keep your distance.
- Rifle
- Laser Cannon
- Tactical Shotgun
Mammoths are big, and so they get stuck easily. So, use terrain as an advantage; you can lure them near trees. Where they will be stuck and unable to move, this gives you enough time to hit the animal with multiple shots. Make sure to target the head. Playing in a team is much better as one player can lure the beast and others can attack him.
Drops & Rewards
Once you can kill the mammoth, you will be rewarded well. Here are the items the beast drops after dying.
- Steak: 8-9
- Ribs: 2
- Mammoth Tusk: 0-1
The tusk can be used to craft late-game survival gear. When you are dealing with the beast, make sure there are no other enemies around. Otherwise, you will lose fast. Always carry enough bandages, stew, etc to heal yourself. Carry extra ammo and food, and plan an escape route in case your health goes low.
Mammoth seems to be a tough mini-boss to kill, but you can do that. Run around in circles as it’s poor at turning. Using traps is a smart move that will give you some time. It is possible to kill the Mammoth with a melee weapon, but only if it gets stuck somewhere.
