Trading is an important element in the Roblox 99 Night in the Forest game. It is an poweful progression system that can help you in combat, exploration, and managing resources. While combat and exploration give you raw resources, traders convert those resources into power, safety, and long-term survival advantages.
🕴️How Trading Works?
Every Trader has a list of items to sell. And in return, you have to pay the Trader with a specific item. The seller unlocks a new tier of items upon purchase.
- Traders do not use gold.
- They use drop-based currencies (pelts, feathers, flowers, coins).
- Many traders have scaling trades (better rewards the more you trade).
This means killing the right enemy matters more than killing everything. For example, killing rabbits gives you a Rabbit Foot, which you can exchange for a Good Sack, a Good Torch, a Spear, etc. There are four Traders in the 99 Nights in the Forest Game. From whom can you directly purchase items? They are:
- Pelt Trader
- Furniture Trader
- Fairy
- Bird Watcher

🐺 1. Pelt Trader ❗
Pet Trader is the most important and kind of backbone of the combat and survival progression. He is also the very first trader that appears after 2-3 days. He exchanges animal drops for powerful gear, weapons, and buffs. He appears near the camp and returns after some time. So make sure you keep the items ready for exchange.
What he accepts:
- Bunny Foot: Dropped by killing rabbits.
- Wolf Pelt: Dropped by killing wolves.
- Alpha Wolf Pelt: Dropped by killing an Alpha wolf.
- Bear Pelt: Dropped by killing a bear.

Focus on getting Good Sack, Strong Axe, and Revolver from the Pelt Trader. While exploring, grab Alpha Wolf Pelt and Bear Pelt as early as possible. So that you can fight the culist easily. Because challenges increase every night, and you will die often.
🪑 2. Furniture Trader
Furniture Trader is not that important as he sells only decorative base items. That does not have any impact on the stats or survival. If you just want to decorate your campfire, then you can buy furniture from the Furniture Trader. He usually appears near the camp, and you will hear a horse sound. He travels around the forest area and accepts the Mossy Coins. The one that you will find a lot of during exploration.
The game does not actually give enough time to decorate the campfire. Because you will be busy managing fuel for the campfire and increasing the defense. However, if you have some time left in between, then you can buy some interesting furniture for the campfire to give it a unique look. Furniture Trader mostly sells the following items.
- Chairs
- Tables
- Decorative pros
- Camp Cosmetics
🧚 3. Fairy (Farming Progression)
You can find Fairy after leveling up Campfire to Level 2. She is located outside the Mushroom House and sells Seed Boxes. She accepts flowers as currency. There are 9 flowers next to her house, you can pick that buy a Seed Box. During the night, the Fairy returns to her house. This NPC stays in the game, and you will always find her. Not like Pelt Trader or Furniture Trader, who go away after some time.
Fairy is another important trader in Roblox 99 Nights in the Forest. Why, because if you don’t spread the seeds around, you won’t get chillies, strawberries, etc. Chillies gives temporory speed boost while berries restore health. When you get a Seed Box, it spreads around the Forest, allowing them to grow more. Without it, you will rely only on hunting to restore your health. Straw Berries act as an instant food source and its important food element in the game. Here is the total cost of flowers for every box.

🐦 4. Bird Watcher (Removed Trader)
Bird Watcher is no longer part of 99 Nights in the Forest. But in the future, he might return. So knowing about the trader will help later on. Players have to trade feathers in return for Fuel Canisters. He also takes Gems of Forest Fragments and gives feathers in return. Rightnow he is not actively visible in the game. So we can ignore him for now.
🧠 Trading Tips and Tricks
Bunny foot is easy; killing a few will give you one. Grab that and start killing the wolves. If you can get Bunny Foot + Wolf Pelt early in the game, then you can unlock Good Sack and Good Axe. It is a huge time saver. Good Sack allows you to carry 15 items at a time. And Good Axe cuts down trees faster. This saves a lot of time in upgrading the campfire. Plus, when you go on exploration, you don’t have to return due to low sack storage. So make sure you get these two items early in the game.
Alpha Wolf and Bear are tougher enemies. You will need to prepare for the same. Make sure you have the following things with you.
- Rifle / Revolver / Ray Gun / Shotgun
- Bear Trap
- Bandages
- Medkit
- Stew
