Horse
Horses are fast, tameable passive animals mainly used for mobility and map control. They significantly reduce travel time between biomes and camps. Naturally passive; wanders in open forest areas. Cannot fight, but can carry the player at high speed.
Requires a Taming Flute (higher tiers improve success rate). Must be undamaged before starting the minigame. After taming, feed the required item (usually basic crops) to complete the bond.
Always keep stamina high before long rides—getting dismounted in hostile regions is dangerous.
Kiwi
The Kiwi is a unique, burrow-based passive creature and a valuable early-mid game resource.
Passive but extremely elusive. Spawns from special Kiwi Burrows. Teleports back if lured too far. Drops valuable crafting materials and trade items. Often required for higher-tier upgrades and trader exchanges.
Place traps directly near the burrow. Melee is more reliable than ranged due to the small hitbox. Kiwi spawns are limited—mark burrow locations on your map for repeat farming cycles.
Turkey
Turkeys are one of the most efficient renewable food sources in the Forest biome. They are passive roaming animals. Runs quickly once damaged. Provides multiple food items per kill. Good balance of quantity and ease of hunting.
Use wide-hit melee weapons for consistency. Cornering turkeys against terrain reduces escape chance. Turkeys are ideal for sustaining long nights when camp food is running low.
